Hi, everyone!

This week our team finished our leg of The Wave USA missions trip in Alaska and made the marathon trip back to Texas. The memories our YWAM team takes back of the two months are many and vivid:

-driving to 18 states
-feeding the homeless
-reaching troubled young people
-packing medicines for South America
-singing and preaching on the streets
-helping with church camps for over 1,000 people
-projecting VJ clips with the message of the gospel to youth
-praying at state capitals and key geographic points for the USA
-serving many different local churches' ministries
-sharing the truth of Jesus with so many different people,
from carnival workers to Tongan Americans to fellow travelers all over this nation.
-trusting God for answers for financial needs and problems with our van
-"becoming the wave" of God's blessing to this nation

It would not have been the same without our family together for this trip. Daniel and Alana were way more than just the littlest "wavers" on the Wave USA missions trip. They unlocked people's hearts with their smiles and laughter--opening the door for us to reach people.

The next trip is already upon us--I'm flying to Brazil for a missions conference tomorrow. It's amazing I'm even able to go. Yesterday I had only half the money for the trip, but a good friend heard the need and gave generously so that I could get a last-minute flight (thank you!).

One of my goals for this conference is to recruit more students and staff to our upcoming Frontier Journalism school (4K emphasis) in January. I'll also be teaching a workshop on blogging (posting articles & media online) and helping with the audio/visuals.

Please pray for my safety during the trip and that God will help me as I share with others about this news media mission to "see the world transformed by seeing the world as it really is."

Take care,
Jeff Rogers

P.S. Sorry for the delayed news from this trip--my old laptop crashed. So, it took a while to get all the addresses and everything sorted on the new one.
