![]() Hi, everyone! Busy, tired and happy -- that's how we feel lately. We're having a BABY! Of course we are tired, etc... Quezia's been doing great. She's made it through the morning sickness, sore muscles and growing belly. I'm so proud of her and our son, Daniel Thomas Rogers, who is barely 2 months from being born!
Unfortunately, Quezia slipped on some uneven ground outside a video store last week. She twisted her ankle badly, but caught herself. So the baby is fine. But Quezia's on crutches. We're just glad she didn't break anything. Other than that, things are going pretty well. A lot of the problems we mentioned in earlier newsletters have been solved or at least diminished. Quezia's Visa situation has progressed. I spoke with an INS officer recently. Her application is due to be processed this month. This is the first major step towards her greencard & citizenship. Thankfully we've been loaned a car for the next year by a missionary couple. So that's MUCH better than borrowing or being without wheels. We've also been able to pay off more than half of our little mobile home here in Texas. We've had to repair our bath tub and some minor plumbing. Plus, we worked hard with Quezia's brothers, Israel & Steve, to freshly paint the walls. (more info under "finances") I am also happy with the web site I finished recently for my uncle Loren, David Hamilton and my mom's powerful new book, Why Not Women? It is at: At YWAM Woodcrest, my brother Jonathan and the Discipleship Training School he's staffing just left on outreach. They are headed to Nicaragua. I have been updating the website, editing video and doing lots of different things for Woodcrest. Part of YWAM Woodcrest is a project to positively influence the media. We are doing that through working with a local TV station, KLTV 7. Patrick Butler, also from Woodcrest, is currently directing the evening news shows. And I am doing CGI's (graphics) for the morning news shows. It is a challenging environment. But we're really showing light into the darkness. And it's having a real effect. Like I mentioned in the last newsletter, I worked with Israel, Steve & Greg to start the "Village" web cafe at the Woodcrest campus. The first 2 evenings have been great. It's a gathering place that spiritually encourages youth & creative/artistic people. The cafe-goers have been painting, reading literature and surfing the web. Quezia and I had a full holiday season. First we had almost a week with Quezia's family in Kansas. Quezia's mom is still undergoing chemotherapy. Please keep her in your prayers. After Kansas we drove down to Oklahoma to be with the Rogers family for Christmas. It was fun. But on what was supposed to be our last day; a massive ice storm shut us in for 2 extra days. Well, that's our news. Thanks for your prayers and support, everyone! Jeff & Quezia Rogers P.O. Box 1380; Lindale, TX 75771 (usa) |
