'Someone said, it's publishing in your pajamas.' Explains Janice Rogers who, along with her son Jeff, have started their own blogs in Lindale.

One of Jeff's blogs is YWAMER-dot-TK 'I like getting the feedback from people,' says Jeff.

His mom's is jannyrants-dot-radiate-dot-us. 'The third month I had over 5000 individual visitors from 42 different countries. I was staggered,' says Janice.

Both say blogs are a new way of passing along information not picked up by the main stream media. 'So it's like a democratization of the whole process of information sharing but, at the same time, bloggers need to be as responsible as the media has to be. You have to not pass on rumors. You have to check your sources and you will only be respected as a blogger if you can be trusted,' explains Janice.

Jeff says, 'There was one called Baghdad-is-burning-dot-com and it was an Iraqi person writing about what was going on in Iraq so it's things like that. So if you're just in the right place at the right time you can write a story that can scoop the mainstream media sometimes.'"
